During my internship at Radical, I worked on a product aiming to close this gap by combining task planning, deep focus, and progress tracking in a single streamlined experience.

My Role
By the time I joined, the founder had already conducted surveys and interviews, and launched a simple MVP that helped secure initial funding. My job was to take these existing insights and translate them into a full product experience.
As the sole designer, I defined the app’s architecture, layout, interaction flow, and visual direction. I created a comprehensive Figma prototype with detailed animations, and designed a concept website to clearly communicate the product’s core value.

For each major feature, I would propose 2–3 design approaches—each exploring a different direction in layout, interaction, or visual priority. We’d then review the options together, discussing trade-offs in clarity, effort, and user value. Once a direction was chosen, I refined the design through multiple feedback loops.
One challenge we encountered was balancing simplicity with functionality—especially in the calendar feature. I worked closely with the team to narrow the interface to what users actually needed daily, simplifying flows without losing key tools. This iterative, collaborative process allowed us to shape each feature not just around what was technically possible, but what felt right for the user.
